Durian vendor.

According to my guide book the fruit part of a durian looks like shit, smells like shit and tastes like shit. The exception is when they make durian ice cream which looks like ice cream but smells like shit and tastes like shit.

I actually saw "NO DURIANS" signs (picture a durian in a circle with a slash through it) in places like hotels and train stations in numerous countries in the region!

I could not believe that such a popular fruit could be so bad and since I was committed to experiencing Asia completely I tried some and can say that it was more like eating clay.
